$20Welcome to Beekeeping 101, the first class in the series! This class will cover honeybee anatomy, colony dynamics, honeybee roles in the hive, setting up your apiary, and a brief history of beekeeping. Consider this class the foundation from which the series builds upon. Attendees should bring note-taking materials.

Taught by The Bee Store owner, John Klapperich, you’re sure to learn a lot from this seasoned beekeeper and founder of the local honey, Sweet Sophia.
Location: The Bee Store LLC is located in the Tackett’s Mill Shopping center on the lakeside – so if you see a Safeway and a PetValu, come around back. There’s plenty of parking and a scenic lake nearby and plenty of local shops to explore. We’re located just off I95 near up the road from Occoquan, Virginia.
